Hamilton Botanical Gardens - Part One

Walk with me for a moment. Let us wander around a garden filled with history and imagination. A space that tells the story of 4000 year of gardening. A place where families gather and friends share secrets. This post is image based from a recent trip to visit the Hamilton Botanical Gardens. Part two shall follow where I will share my thoughts but in the mean time view the map and lets take a stroll of a rather special garden space and enjoy a light commentary along the way.

ENGLISH FLOWER GARDEN - A calm quiet English garden space, the perfect way to ease into a garden tour.

CHINESE SCHOLAR’S GARDEN - another peaceful quiet space for contemplation.

MODERNIST GARDEN - love the Marylin, pops of colour and textures.

INDIAN CHAR BAGH GARDEN - such a vibrant and colour space. So may poppies!!

ITALIAN RENAISSANCE GARDEN - gorgeous and made me want to go to Italy.

JAPANESE GARDEN OF CONTEMPLATION - the palette cleanser.

TE PARAPARA GARDEN - Inspiring space that made me want to learn more.

TUDOR GARDEN - a true medieval romp.

SUSTAINABLE BACKYARD GARDEN & KITCHEN GARDEN - these kinds of gardens always make me want to grow more veggies.

PICTURESQUE GARDEN - the only picture as we were tailgated by some tourists who weren’t taking photos.

MANSFIELD GARDEN - we sat and contemplated and then sat a bit longer

ANCIENT EGYPTIAN GARDEN - people seem to really like the chairs here.

CHINOISERIE GARDEN - Another peaceful beautiful spot.

SURREALIST GARDEN - bonkers of course with waving plant arms and a weird fence to keep the madness away.

TROPICAL GARDEN - pops of colour against the lush vibrant green background.
