A paddock filled of Dahlias, what a stunning sight especially as this paddock was jammed between houses on either side. It felt like a poetic rebellion against the urban sprawl. I liked it just as much as the bees did, who were lazily taking refuge in petals and pollen centres from the occasional rain drops that fell. It was the perfect mid afternoon treat before we headed off bee keeping. The dahlias are the work of Monique from Mount Mera Botanicals. It was safe to say that I felt like a kid in a candy store as I circled round the various beds. New favourites were found alongside those who I had admired for while. There is something special about seeing mass plants. It feels abundant but it also feels right. I am a bit short of time this week so forgive me if I let the photos do the talking again.
