Discover more from Pollination Garden
Not many words this week. It seems the cold weather has brought out the desire to hide in me. I write this, hunkered down on the couch under blankets, listening to the wind batter the garden, admiring the energy of young pup who is throwing a ball around the room giving chase. I have no such energy.
I had plans for a post about land and travel and visiting something new and all that it brings but it feels a bit muddled and words aren’t flowing so instead I share photos from the landscape we visited and I love. While away we walked dogs, ate well and just breathed a bit deeper. I always find time away stimulating and I can feel the cogs starting to turn. Little notes of paper where I have scribble words on and stuck on a wall are slowly forming into ideas. Our little mini break has brought the desire to plan and to create to the surface.
I think next week, maybe I will follow through on this and encourage this little flicker of curiosity. In the meantime I keep working on my words and images which is the art project that I have been working on the last few months. I am at version 6 and I think it is getting to the point that I am ready to nervously share with a select few. I had set myself the goal of Matariki to get a fully formed draft finished, it felt like the right way to start the new year.
So here I present photos from our weekend away to Clyde and our snowy journey home.
Enjoy.
